Common question for week 37

What is the 5-1-1 rule?

A common guide for heading in: contractions 5 minutes apart, each lasting 1 minute, continuing for 1 hour. Your provider may give you a different threshold — follow their guidance.

Every pregnancy is different. Sizes are averages, symptoms vary widely, and none of this replaces the guidance of your own provider.
